1) The awkward tendency of my sleep schedule to shift into two separate 4-hour periods, onset times spaced 9-12 hours apart.

2) The bright side of this: I fall asleep promptly, stay asleep once I've gotten there, and when I wake up, am fairly capable of getting up and doing things almost immediately, instead of spending the next 1d6 hours groggily staggering around.

Conking out at random times is unwelcome (though last night it was admittedly very welcome, since my back went out to the point at which I couldn't sit up and conking out let me sleep through it). The bright chirpiness upon waking up, however, makes my husband crack up a lot.

Mind, the bright chirpiness upon waking up may simply be prompted by the blessed blessed lack of pain upon waking up. Not complaining about that either!

A number of sites claim, though none of them have actually referenced any of the studies they assert exist, that sound frequencies like those in a housecat's purr help induce healing in injured tendons and muscles, increase bone density and regrowth, and relieve pain.

Given that I just had a cat on my shoulder purring into my ear for maybe five to ten minutes, and I'm still blissed out, I could conceivably buy this.
