Red Sky Status Update

infiniteprydeChapter 2: Draft complete. Waiting for an opinion on part of it, but that opinion will not be available till Monday at soonest, and even if it passes without significant changes I'll still need to run at least one more editing pass. Rrrr.
Chapter 3: Started writing first draft on the afternoon of the 24th. ... finished writing first draft on the afternoon of the 27th. Somehow chapter 3 took literally one tenth the time to write that chapter 2 did. I am vaguely tempted to blame Faiza and Blade. Still needs a couple of bits of fact-checking and, yes, at least one editing pass.
Chapter 4: Remember when I said I wasn't going to make any effort to check on continuity in other X-books? ... apparently I partially lied. To myself. RESEARCH AHOY.
Chapter 5: ... there will probably be one. Apparently this is going to be a little longer than I thought.
